LoginSusan Strawn’s knitted cap (en lue) for a child (et barn) will delight the younger set. The dancing couple plus the stripes and tiny geometric patterns are traditional Norwegian motifs.
Finished size: 16½" circumference and 8¾" tall.
Yarn: Dale Baby Ull (100% superwash merino wool; 180 yd [165 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): #0083 charcoal heather (MC), #0010 white (CC1), and #3718 tomato red (CC2), 1 ball each.
Needles: Size 2 (2.75 mm): 16" circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); tapestry needle.
Gauge: 29 sts and 39 rnds = 4" in charted patt.
