Kitty's Chemise Knitting Pattern

A proper Austen heroine might not have flaunted her chemise in public, but this top is just modest enough for the modern woman. Inspired by a Regency-era undergarment, this tee is worked seamlessly from the bottom up with alternating panels of stockinette and reverse stockinette stitch for a clean silhouette. Finished Size: 32 (34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46)" bust circumference. Tee shown measures 32".

Yarn: Classic Elite Yarns Classic Silk (50% cotton, 30% silk, 20% nylon; 135 yd [123 m]/1 1/2 oz [50 g]): #6976 cinnamon, 4 (5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 6, 7) skeins.

Needles: Size 6 (4 mm): 24" circular (cir) and double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needles size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Gauge: 20 sts and 26 rnds = 4" in St st.
