Materials

New Lanark Spinning Co. Aran, 100% wool, heavy worsted weight, 176 yd (160 m)/3.5 oz (100-gram) skein, 3 skeins of Sky
Needles: size 8 (5 mm) straights 14" (35 cm), or circ 24" (60 cm), or size needed to obtain gauge
Stitch marker
Blocking mat and pins
Tapestry needle

Finished measurements: 54" (137.2 cm) wide and 26" (66 cm) high in center, not including 17" (43.2 cm) ties, after blocking.

Gauge: 14½ sts and 25 rows = 4" (10.2 cm) in garter st, after blocking. Exact gauge is not critical for this project, but a different gauge will affect the drape and finished size.
