Fine Stockings Knitting Pattern Download

Knit these stockings with clocks of twisted-knit tulips delicately running up both sides. Enjoy the instructions for increasing the calf size and structuring the heel, to ensure a cozy fit. Finished Size: 8 (81/2, 9)" foot circumference, 111/4 (121/4, 131/4)" circumference above the knee, 25 (253/4, 261/4)" long from top of cuff to bottom of heel flap, and 83/4 (91/4, 93/4)" long from back of heel to tip of toe; to fit woman's U.S. shoe size 7 (81/2, 10). Foot length is adjustable. Stockings shown measure 8".

Yarn: Spud & Chloe Fine (80% superwash wool, 20% silk; 248 yd [227 m]/21/4 oz [65 g]): #7807 tutu, 4 skeins.

Needles: Stockings—size 2 (2.75 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Ribbing—size 1 (2.25 mm): set of dpn. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); stitch holders; cable needle; tapestry needle.

Gauge: 32 sts and 40 rnds = 4" in St st on larger needles.
