The Spencer Jacket body is worked in one piece to the underarms and then split for the two fronts and the back. The shoulders are joined with a three-needle-bind-off, and the sleeves are worked in the round from the top down, starting with short-rows and ending with the lace-ruffled cuff. A button and buttonhole band are knitted on, and then the collar is worked from stitches picked up around the neck.
