Mountain Warmth Socks: Woolly Cabled Socks for Your Next Adventure

These socks are worked top down in a simple cable and ribbing pattern. The tight gauge and cable pattern ensure the socks will wear well, whether you are adventuring through the mountains or in an urban landscape.

Materials:

• Custom Woolen Mills Sock Yarn 2-ply (70% wool, 30% nylon), 457 yd (418 m)/4 oz (112 g): 1 skein of Classic Red
• Needles: size 1 (2.25 mm) double-pointed or long circular needle for Magic Loop, or size needed to obtain the correct gauge
• Cable needle
• Stitch markers
• Stitch holder (optional)
• Tapestry needle

Finished Sizes: 6 (7½, 9¼)" (15.2 [19.1, 23.5] cm) circumference at ball of foot and 7 (9½, 10¾)" (17.8 [24.1, 27.3] cm) foot length (adjustable)
Gauge: 36 sts and 40 rnds = 4" (10.2 cm) in cable pattern. 28 sts and 38 rnds = 4" (10.2 cm) in St st.
