Lace Dancing Socks from Spain

The bobbles are worked only on the leg, but the lace motif is repeated on the center of the foot for added interest. Traditionally, the socks would be worked on five double-pointed needles with the stitches divided evenly onto four needles and the fifth needle used for knitting, but the pattern may also be worked with the magic-loop technique or on two circular needles if you prefer.

Finished Size: 6½ (8, 9½) inches (16.5 [20.3, 24.1] cm) leg circumference, unstretched; 6 (7½, 9) inches (15.2 [19.0, 22.9] cm) foot circumference, slightly stretched; 8 (8½, 9) inches (20.3 [21.6, 22.9] cm) foot length

Yarn: Knit Picks Stroll, 75% merino wool/25% nylon yarn, fingering weight, 231 yards (211.2 m)/50 gram (1.8 oz) ball, 2 balls of White

Needles: Sets of double pointed, sizes 1 (2.25 mm) and 2 (2.75 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge,

Notions: Markers, Removable marker, Stitch holder, Tapestry needle

Gauge: 38 sts and 55 rnds = 4 inches (10.2 cm) in St st on smaller needles
