Vicki Square's Egyptian Desert Tee with round neck and short set-in sleeves that end just above the elbow is a universal contemporary style for both men and women. The Mistake Stitch Rib pattern emulates the pleating in Egyptian garments of antiquity.

Finished Size: 34½ (37¼, 40, 43, 45½, 48½, 51, 54) inches (87.6 [94.6, 101.6, 109.2, 115.6, 123.2, 129.5, 137.2] cm) chest circumference

Yarn: Spud & Chloe Fine Sock, 80% wool/20% silk yarn, sock weight, 248 yards (226.8 m)/65 gram (2.3 oz) skein, 2 skeins of #7811 Bumble Bee;

Needles: Needles, circular 24 inches (60 cm) size 4 (3.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge; circular 16 inches (40 cm) size 3 (3.25 mm); extra needle size 4 (3.5 mm) for 3-needle BO

Notions: Stitch markers, 2 open; Waste yarn in a contrasting color for holding, about 2 yards (2 m); Crochet hook, size E/4 (3.5 mm); Tapestry needle

Gauge: 23 sts and 32 rows = 4 inches (10.2 cm) in Mistake Stitch Textured Rib on larger needle, slightly stretched after blocking
