Flame Scarf Knitting Pattern Download

The motifs in this lace shawl are inspired by the shapes and colors of fire, perfect for painting. The flame motifs grow larger towards the hem, and the three-quarter shape fits perfectly around the shoulders.

Finished Size: 12¼" (31 cm) tall at center back and 25½" (65 cm) wide across lower edge of back.

Yarn: Laceweight (Lace #0) silk 2-ply yarn, about 875 yd (800 m). Fiber: 100% Bombyx silk top. See pattern for yarn substitutions.

Yarn Weight: #0 - Lace

Needles: U.S. size 00 (1.75 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); tapestry needle.

Gauge: 28 sts and 52 rows = 4" (10 cm) in patt, after blocking.
