The Boardwalk Mosaic Shawl was designed with the image of strolling along a breezy seashore boardwalk in mind. Created as a sampler of mosaic knitting, it brings together favorite patterns arranged to resemble wooden planks. A delicate openwork insertion accents the center, while solid and striped rows of garter stitch form the borders.

The shawl incorporates five different mosaic knitting designs, offering knitters the opportunity to practice reading charts and gain confidence with this imaginative technique. The patterns are timeless, and the crescent shape ensures the shawl drapes gracefully around the neck and shoulders while remaining light enough to wear on a summer evening.
