LoginUsing mesh sticks of different sizes creates the designs in the bookmarks without the need for increases or decreases. To make the designs larger or smaller, either change the mesh stick size or add/ subtract loops or rows. Finished Size: Pillar, 8½ x 1 inches (21.6 x 2.5 cm); Pane, 7¼ x 1¼ inches (18.4 x 3.2 cm) Needles: Netting needle, metal, 1.0 mm x 7 inches (17.8 cm), #RP12 Notions: Mesh sticks, set of 5, 4-15 mm x 6 inches (15.2 cm), #FN38; Tension device, 2 yards (1.8 m) of cable-cord twine size 48, to form a stirrup Sta-Flo or Linit Liquid Starch Sewing pins, straight Towel Pillow or corkboard Required Materials: Coats & Clark Aunt Lydia's Classic, 100% cotton thread, size 10, 350 yards (320.0 m)/ball, 1 ball of #0310 Copper Mist for Pillar; Coats & Clark South Maid, 100% cotton thread, size 10, 300 yards (274.3 m)/ball, 1 ball of #949 Victory Red for Pane; each bookmark requires about 5 yards (5 m) of thread.
