Ava Coleman took a page from the past for her Indispensable Bag, a name coined in the nineteenth century for needlework project bags. This splendid bag will keep your yarn, thread, and hooks at hand. The long ribbon strings, a feature of the vintage bags, were designed so that the bag could be slipped over the back of a chair, which allowed easy access to the projects and at the same time displayed the bag.
