My husband’s Great-Aunt Belle had a passion for buttons. How else to explain the thousands of buttons that she amassed over her lifetime? She had many other interests, too, of course—hybridizing African violets, tatting and crocheting dollies for the davenport, making doll clothes—but what she was “famous” for was collecting buttons.
