Knit this scarf inspired by the "twist of crimson silk" that Grace Ansley is knitting in Edith Wharton's short story "Roman Fever." Use a staggering stitch sequence in every other row to create a visually intriguing diagonal motif. Enjoy the ends of the scarf that are designed to evoke the arches of the Colosseum. Knit this gorgeous accessory using long-tail cast-ons and garter stitching.
