In the design of this scarf, Mara Bishop Statnekov adds elements of her home town of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the rich textile designs of the American Southwest to Orenburg lace to produce a geometric design worked in a bold, gem-toned yarn. Think of this design as a departure from traditional Orenburg to the new world and the Western hemisphere.
