These gorgeous floral mittens by Donna Druchunas were inspired by the love the people of Lithuania have for flowers. Worked in soft and warm Peruvian Highland wool yarn, they will keep one toasty and provide a reminder that spring is coming.

Materials Needed:

  • Cascade 220 Fingering, 100% Peruvian Highland wool yarn, fingering weight, 273 yards (249.6 m)/50 gram (1.8 oz) skein, 2 skeins of #4002 Jet (MC) and 1 skein each of #9624 Avocado (Color A), #2450 Mystic Purple (Color B), and #9622 Amber Glow (Color C); www.cascadeyarns.com
  • Needles, set of 4 or 5 double pointed and/or two circulars or one long Magic Loop size 1.5 (2.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scrap yarn

Finished size: 8 inches (20.3 cm) palm circumference and 10½ inches (26.7 cm) hand length from cast-on to tip
Gauge: 35 sts and 40 rnds = 4 inches (10.2 cm) over stranded colorwork
