Let’s be clear, mullets are a hairstyle that should never, ever return, but a mullet sweater is where it’s at. The Traveler’s Sweater by Donna Estin from Knitting Traditions 2018 is all business in the front but features a cabled party in the back! And who doesn’t love a cable party?
This menswear-inspired pullover is knit with Rowan Hemp Tweed, a luxurious wooly-hemp blend with beautiful tweedy-flecks that really pop in the texture section of this sweater, and add dimension to the cabled panel.
The ribbed side panels keep this professional-looking pullover comfortable and the bronze buttons add a little bit of flash. It pairs well with a mid-length or longer skirt but I think it would look best with a pair of jeans and tall boots!
The Traveler’s Sweater is perfect for fall and winter months and it will take you from the office to an evening trip around an apple orchard with a relaxing hayride (I can almost taste the warm, hopefully spiked, apple cider)! Just remember to bring a fun vest or cozy scarf to throw on once the sun goes down.
